About BASAP
BASAP is a local charity promoting and supporting accessibility in the Badenoch and Strathspey Access Panel.
We are a registered charity (SC043905), dedicated to equality, diversity, and the relief of those in need. Our aim is to ensure that disabled persons in Badenoch and Strathspey have suitable access provision made available, and to provide information for disabled visitors to the area.
Our access guide gives accessibility information for hundreds of businesses, community venues and other attractions and services in the area.
We also provide free consultation and information on suitable disabled access to and within buildings, as well as the outdoor environment. This includes liaison with the local authority building standards officer.
We facilitate training events to increase disability awareness for everyone involved in providing a service to the public.
